Job Summary

Kids At Heart Child Care Center is looking for part-time Child Care Teaching Assistants (TAs) for our growing childcare center located at 186 S. Clev-Mas Rd in Fairlawn, Ohio! This position offers a flexible schedule, perfect for students and substitute teachers. Our TAs help out our Lead Teachers in any age group they are assigned: Infants, Toddlers, Preschoolers, Pr-Kindergardeners and School Age children (up to age 12).

As a TA, you might float between rooms to help as needed or you might be assigned to a specific room for a set period of time, depending on the needs of the center.

We are looking for individuals who are extremely passionate about Early Childhood Education; reliable, trustworthy and dedicated to building relationships with families and their children.

  • Ensure the daily care and needs of every child.
  • Responsible for helping with each child’s daily reports.
  • Work with Lead Teachers to achieve successful learning goals for every child.
  • Are Team Players! TAs are able to cover the staffing needs of any classroom they are assigned for the day.
  • Help ensure the classrooms stay neat and clean.

TAs are responsible for the care, hygiene, learning and developmental activities, specialized programs and redirection of children. TAs also must maintain classroom records, cleanliness and orderliness of the classroom in which they are assigned.

Requirements:

  • 1-Year of experience in child care or are currently enrolled in an ECE college/university program.
  • Excellent verbal/written communication skills.
  • Strong work ethic. Good team-oriented attitude.
  • Flexible schedule. Ability to be scheduled when available as needed.

Responsibilities and Duties

– Assist Lead Teachers with child care duties.

– You may be assigned to a room or you may float between classrooms depending on the day’s needs.

– Caring for and playing with children

– Keeping up with cleaning tasks in classrooms and center common areas

Qualifications and Skills

  • 1-Year of experience in child care or are currently enrolled in an ECE college/university program.
  • Excellent verbal/written communication skills.
  • Strong work ethic. Good team-oriented attitude.
  • First Aid & CPR Certified before starting is a plus
